The finalists for the spring break photo contest are here! Vote for your favorite pictures in each category by visiting this survey. The grand prize winner gets a copy of Adobe CS3, and runner-ups will receive free high quality prints.
A Royal Rumble will be taking place between AAGSA and AASA (our undergrad counterpart) teams! Head down to the Manzanita fields (http://campus-map.stanford.edu/index.cfm?ID=06-750A) this Sunday (May 18) for a FREE lunch and sports tournament. There will be prizes for the 5v5 basketball tournament and the obstacle relay race, and recreational ultimate frisbee, soccer and sand volleyball. Following the success and popularity of last quarter's cooking session (sushi), we are bringing Thai cooking lessons to you this Saturday. You will be learning how to make your very own Chicken Basil (or a vegetarian alternative) for a delicious dinner! No cooking experience is needed! Our guest chef will walk you through all of the steps.
Space is limited to 25 participants, so RSVP now by sending an email to su.aagsa@gmail.com! AAGSA will provide all of the necessary ingredients for free. We will be meeting in the Bechtel International Center's Kitchen (http://campus-map.stanford.edu/index.cfm?ID=02-400).

The third annual LIVERight is a 5K run/walk to raise awareness about and fight hepatitis B and liver cancer. It will be taking place at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Registration opens at 8:00 AM, and is $20 if you join as an AAGSA team member, with an additional $5 for race day registration. Come join the AAGSA team! Our team name is "AAGSA" and our PIN is 5183.

It's spring, and that means you should come to Spring Fever! It's a royalty-and-celebrity-themed FREE BEER tasting party at the Oak Lounge West (on the second floor of Tresidder). Your SUID is required, and bring proof of age (21+) for alcohol. There will also be a live DJ, and other yummy Asian snacks and drinks. Come dressed up as royalty or a celebrity, and we'll roll out the red carpet for you!

Whether you're going somewhere exotic or stuck working in a lab, we're sure that you will have photos that you are eager to share when you return from spring break. Submit up to 2 photos for each of the following categories for a chance to win free prints and a copy of Photoshop CS3. The finalists will also be featured in our photo show in April. The categories are:
- Most artistic
- Most cultural
- Funniest
Please email your submissions to su.aagsa@gmail.com by April 14th and indicate the category that each photo is being entered for. Feel free to include brief descriptions. In order to ensure high quality prints, the minimum resolution requirement is 2048x1536 (3 megapixels). Judging will be done by members of the Asian American Graduate Student Association (AAGSA) core as well as by popular vote on our website.
AAGSA is putting on a dim sum study break with FREE FOOD this Sunday, March 16 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. So put down your books, pick up your appetite, and head on down to the A3C couch room on the second floor of the Old Union Clubhouse (map here)!
