Featured speaker Father Vien The Nguyen has been organizing with Vietnamese and African American residents of New Orleans East since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region last year. He will talk about the community's successful campaign to stop the siting of a major Katrina waste dump adjacent to their neighborhood and about their ongoing efforts to rebuild, as well as the multi-racial coalition building efforts that is working to build the environmental justice movement in New Orleans.

Bindlestiff Studio, San Francisco's Filipino-American performing arts venue, is having their annual Valentine's themed series of vignettes, The Love Edition 2007. We'll be going to see the Friday Feb 23rd show at 7:30pm. This is an open invitation. Come check out some Fil-Am theater with AAGSA!
